
On 10/16, 2012, The Walton County Tourism Development Council announced Gulf Place to be added to the list of 15 Beaches that are marketed by the TDC for the Scenic 30A Corridor Beaches. There will be an additional lifeguard station also added. Additionally, The Tourism Development Council announced at their annual luncheon that the season was a record-breaking year in tourism by every measurement. Bed tax revenues were the highest ever recorded with double-digit increases measured for 16 straight months and an estimated 3,000,000 visitors according to the Executive Director.
Gulf Place Beach is located on the Western end of the 30A Corridor between Blue Mountain Beach, and Santa Rosa Beach. The development consists of live work condominiums, town-homes, several pools, local restaurants including Smiling Fish Cafe and Fire, boutique shopping, Ms Lucille’s Gossip Parlor, on site rental office, pharmacy, and the much sought after Gulf Place Residential gated neighborhood. There are 3 beach access for the development, and The Santa Rosa Beach Club is directly across the street from the residential gates, and those in the neighborhood tend to take their golf carts: 18 hole golf course, member pool, snack bar and restaurant.
